The Role of Metacognition (Metacomprehension) and Inferential Ability on Reading Comprehension Ability

In this study, the researchers explored role of metacognition component on reading comprehension ability and in predicting level accuracy metacomprehension. The first stage research used experimental to see effect inferential ability. second using correlational method is study relationship between independent dependent variables. This involved 300 primary school students from 10 schools with a composition 200 phase 100 research. Samples were taken randomly. results show that individual's can predict metacomprehension accuracy. Metacognitive strategies are carried out through planning, monitoring evaluation have significant impact students' skills. Inferential-based questions addition, metacognitive (metacomprehension), improve skills, especially increasing understanding. implication teachers consider these aspects as well optimise variables enhance
